AIMemo ("we", "our", or "the Extension") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how our Chrome extension collects, uses, and safeguards your information.

1. Information Collection and Storage

AIMemo is designed with a privacy-first, serverless architecture. We do not operate any external backends, nor do we collect, track, or store your personal data or chat content on any remote servers managed by us.

  • Local Storage: Temporary states and application settings are stored locally within your web browser.
  • Google Drive / Sheets: Your chat memos and project metadata are saved directly to a Google Spreadsheet automatically created within your own Google Drive account.

2. Use of Google OAuth 2.0 & Permissions

To provide its core functionality, the Extension requests access to specific Google Services via OAuth 2.0. The only sensitive scope we request is:

https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.file

This scope is strictly limited to viewing and managing only the specific Google Drive files created by or opened with this Extension (specifically, the "AIMemo" spreadsheet). The Extension cannot read, access, modify, or delete any other files in your Google Drive.

🛡️ Google API Services User Data Policy Disclosure

AIMemo's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy , including the Limited Use requirements.

3. Data Sharing and Disclosure

Since all communications occur directly between your web browser and Google API endpoints (direct Google Sheets API v4 integration), no third parties (including us) have access to your data. We do not sell, trade, rent, or transfer your data to external entities under any circumstances.

4. Data Retention and Deletion

All stored data resides exclusively in your personal Google Drive and local browser storage. You maintain full control over your data at all times:

  • You can edit or delete individual notes directly through the Extension or via your Google Spreadsheet.
  • Deleting the "AIMemo" spreadsheet from your Google Drive will permanently remove all associated remote data.
  • Uninstalling the Extension will clear all locally cached extension data.
